22nd International Pectinid Workshop

The 22nd International Pectinid Workshop will be held from 24th to 29th April, 2019, in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia (Spain) in “Hospedería San Martín Pinario” (Praza da Inmaculada, 3, 15704 Santiago de Compostela), a historic and renovated building located in front of the cathedral.

The International Pectinid Workshop has been a biennial event on the calendar of marine researchers from all over the world since 1976. The workshop is dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge concerning the scallop species of the world. Pectinids have a worldwide economic and ecological importance as evidenced by the more than 125 participants from 25 countries who usually attend the workshops.

The 22nd Workshop will focus on the biology, aquaculture, reproduction, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, fisheries, ecology and economics of scallops. We encouraged all individuals involved with pectinids to submit an abstract for consideration as an oral or poster presentation at the workshop.

In addition to the scientific programme, we hope you enjoy the social events we have planned. You can also enjoy Santiago de Compostela, a world heritage site since 1985. The University of Santiago de Compostela provides education, research and high quality services since 1495.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain.
